Explore Career Opportunities This Fall

If you or your student is ready to explore career paths, the next six weeks are packed with opportunities. Mark your calendar for these upcoming events. 

(Note: If an event occurs during the school day, students must check with their school counselor before participating.) 

September 24, 11 AM- 2 PM: NKY Young Talent Job Fair at Gateway Community and Technical College. Students can practice interview skills, learn about current job openings, explore community resources, and even enroll in Youth First—NKADD’s program connecting young, eligible workers to training and employment opportunities. September 30: NKY Health Career Showcase, sponsored by the North Central Area Health Education Center at NKU. Dozens of healthcare professionals will use hands-on activities and displays to highlight educational requirements, job responsibilities, salaries, and more. Details: rachel.sams@kctcs.edu 

October is Advanced Manufacturing Month. Watch for pop-up opportunities for company tours and open houses. Schools can also sign up for a variety of workforce tours coordinated by BE NKY Growth Partnership and NaviGo here

October 18, 8 AM-2 PM: Healthcare Careers in Day. St. Elizabeth Healthcare and NaviGo will engage students in problem-based learning through case studies that reflect real-world patient experiences. If the October session is full, sign up for the second session on December 13. Details: Fall 2025 HCIAD 

October 23, 8 AM-5 PM: Women in IT Conference, sponsored by Interalliance at Xavier University. If you are a high school student unsure about your college plans and beyond, or if you already have an interest in IT, this is an ideal event for you.  Details: Home - Women in IT Conference 

October 24: Advanced Manufacturing Day at Gateway Community and Technical College will offer a daylong discussion and exploration of careers in manufacturing. Schools can contact Suzanne.Sewell@kctcs.edu to participate.  

October 28, 8 AM-2 PM: HealthForce, the Health Collaborative’s annual event to allow high school students to explore a range of careers in healthcare. Details: HealthForce - The Health Collaborative
